Description
: “Alliance” is an urban women's inspirational drama co-directed by Teng Huatao ("Love is not Blind") and Wang Wei ("Romantic Life"). Its main leads include Zhang Xiaofei ("Hi, Mom"), Huang Xiaoming ("American Dreams in China"), Jenny Zhang ("Story of Yanxi Palace"), and Li Zefeng ("Go Go Squid!"). The series is adapted from Lang Lang's novel "Shuang Xi". It tells the story of Lin Shuang, Jiang Xi, and Huang Jiayi overcoming numerous difficulties and achieving personal growth.
Lin Shuang (played by Zhang Xiaofei), who was once a top student at a top university, becomes a full-time mother soon after marriage, but she suffers betrayal despite her wholehearted devotion to her family. Divorce is imminent, and in order to compete for the custody of her daughter, Lin Shuang has to return to the workplace. In a state of confusion, she encounters Gu Xu (played by Huang Xiaoming), a former classmate and a talent who’s returned from overseas, in the workplace. After many years, Gu Xu did not expect to run into Lin Shuang again. Upon learning that she abandoned her major that she’d been studying hard for many years due to her marriage, he becomes beyond furious. Faced with various tests with regards to marriage, work, and kinship, Lin Shuang rises to the challenges with the support of her good friend Jiang Xi (played by Jenny Zhang). Gu Xu also secretly helps Lin Shuang out, and can’t help but fall in love with her. Lin Shuang achieves her transformation from a housewife to a professional at the workplace through practical actions, and also gains the beautiful love with Gu Xu. Lin Shuang and Jiang Xi mature as they collide in the workplace and in their emotional lives, applying what they learn, striving to move forward, and ushering in their own new lives.
