: Hong Kong business giant Li Shaobang has been engaged in short-sales business for a long time, using the relationship between business circle and political circle to make dirty money. His actions are soon detected by the Commercial Crime Investigation Division, and Inspector James and his partner John are in charge of the case. James' girlfriend Suki is a white-collar worker in a company, and her boss Huang Weilian has been colluding with Li Shaobang. When Suki goes with her boss to talk about business with Li, John plants a wiretap and learns of Li, Huang, Chen Dexin and others' secret activities. However, Chen dies unexpectedly that night and when the Investigation Division arrests Huang the next day, Huang is shot and killed in the street.
