: The story is set in the Republican era, during a strange incident in Linjia Town. The townspeople inexplicably fall under an evil influence, as if being controlled and led away by a mysterious force, disappearing overnight like wandering zombies. Shen Xiaohan, a night patrolman in the town, takes it upon himself to investigate and rescue the people.
