: During the Northern Expedition of Yongxi in the early Song Dynasty, the chief commander of the Western Army, Yang Ye, ventured deep alone, sacrificed heroically, and posthumously received the nine-linked golden blade, which fell into the territory of the Liao Dynasty. Ten years later, Yang Baba and Yang Jiumei, now grown up, harboring thoughts of their father in the afterlife, vowed to reclaim the golden blade and restore the glory of the Great Song Dynasty.
