Description

: The film is based on the story of Xu Fu's journey to the East, which is recorded in history and folklore, telling the story of an explorer in the Republic of China who searches for the legendary treasure of Xu Fu on Penglai Island and destroys Japanese agents to protect Chinese treasure. The film portrays the image of a righteous and positive Chinese explorer, Chen Qilong, who left the army and became an explorer because he resented the warlord's chaos. He gave his commission to the disabled soldiers every time, as is insistent that he would rather die than to let the Chinese treasure fall into the hands of the enemy. The Japanese agent Yoshioka, who seizes the Chinese treasure to serve the invasion, is a clear example of the invaders' evil deeds. In order to help her father escape from Japanese control, Jinna, the daughter of a warlord, searches for the treasure and finally dies together with Yoshioka.
