: Ms. Maruyama chunko is from Yokohama, Japan. Her works always take the abandoned items in life as the object, recycle and transform them, present the different states and changes of materials, and finally explore the theme of "life, death, reincarnation and love". Mr. Ji Lei is a native Chengdu artist. He presents hallucinations and subconscious metaphors of real life through the art forms of oil painting, installation and photography. Mrs. Ji Lei has never visited Japan since Chinese mainland. Although the history of exchanges between the two countries has a long history, they have been estranged by the trauma of war in modern times. The two artists are both feel familiar and unfamiliar with each other's country.
