Rico studied Painting at the Otis/Parsons School of Design in Los Angeles, California and Theater Arts at the University of the Philippines Diliman. He has pursued a career in television and film and is now best known in the Philippines for directing various types of TV programs - from drama/fantasy series to documentaries, reality shows and musical variety shows.
