Kim Jong-Hyun (JR) was born on June 8th, 1995, in South Korea. He is the leader, main rapper, and main dancer of the South Korean boy band NU'EST and its sub-group NU'EST-M. In 2011, he showed his face to the public for the first time through his label's album "2011 Happy Pledis" as a member of NU'EST. He officially made his debut when the group released their first single "Face" on March 15th, 2012. On December 25th, 2013, NU'EST won Super Rookie Idol at the Arirang Simply Kpop Awards. They went on to win another award, Best Male Rookie, at the Korean Updates Awards the following day. On July 9th, 2014, NU'EST made their comeback through the release of their first full album "Re:BIRTH." In 2017, JR joined "Produce 101 Season 2" under his legal name. He displayed outstanding leadership skills and earned himself the reputation of the "Nation's Leader." His gentle and calm personality and his outstanding ability earned him a lot of attention from the public.
