Kim You Jung, born in Seoul on September 22, 1999, is a South Korean actress who debuted by filming advertisement. She was cast in the movie DMZ, Demilitarized Zone in 2004 and was nominated Best Young Actress with the role in My Lovely Week at the 43rd Grand Bell Prize of South Korea. In 2008, she was cast in the costume drama Il Ji-Mae: The Phantom Thief‎ and Dong Yi in 2010. She was nominated Best Young Actress with her performance in the drama The Moon Embracing the Sun at the 48th Baeksang Art Awards, TV unit. She was presented a patriotic badge that the president issued for her in 2013. In September 2014, her performance in the historical series Secret Door won her the Best Young Actress in SBS Drama Awards. She was also nominated by the 35th Blue Dragon Awards with the movie Elegant Lies in November. In March 2015, she starred in MBS produced Angry Mom and a suspenseful movie called Secret in October. She took the leading role of Love in the Moonlight produced by KBS in 2016.
